Tara Miller, Ph.D., NCC, LPC, MAC, CPCS, BCPTSD, CAMS

Ms. Tara Miller is an innovative individual with o 20 years of professional experience, which includes extensive background with children and adults that experience mental health challenges. She is especially diverse with children that may be faced with problematic behaviors. Ms. Miller has completed her Doctoral Studies in Counseling, obtained her Master’s in Professional Counseling, and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Additionally, she is a Licensed Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Master Addictions Counselor, Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor, Board Certified Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Clinician, and Certified Anger Management Specialist. 

Ms. Miller has several organizations that she is actively involved, and volunteers on a frequent basis. Ms. Miller is currently an active member of the Licensed Professional Counseling Association. Ms. Miller is also a distinguished member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., as well as the Order of Eastern Stars. Ms. Miller volunteers her time at local churches, in the local school system, and the Boys & Girls Club.

In addition to her active involvement within the community, Ms. Miller serves on the Council with the City of Palmetto, a position that she felt honored obtain and was sworn in during January 2015. Since being sworn in, she has focused on “Bridging the Gap within the community.” During her first year, she started an annual back to school event, and like projects continue to take place. Ms. Miller is also the co-proprietor of Integrated Concepts for Families, Inc., in which the focus of this organization is based upon promoting and nurturing and individual’s mental health and holistic care.  She is also the founder of a nonprofit organization, Choose U 365, Inc. in which this mission is to understand the importance in the value of ones self. As a business owner, she seeks innovative ways to positively impact the community and uplift those that surround her. 

Since the age of 17 years of age, Ms. Miller has consistently been devoted to being an entrepreneur. Ms. Miller has been in and out of several business arenas, which has afforded her the opportunity to understand different approaches to business and best practices for the industry. 

Ms. Miller does not feel that she has chosen this field, but rather, this field has chosen her. Although Ms. Miller has been an active community volunteer and entrepreneur for years, it was not until her late teens that she truly realized that there was more that she could offer to the world around her. Ms. Miller has become fully engulfed into the mental health field to simply “Help Others.”

Ms. Miller is a “people’s person.” Ms. Miller is an active listener that cares about producing a positive outcome for her community. Ms. Miller is also goal oriented and business focused. She will push through barriers to get the needs of the community heard and a solution recognized.

Choose U 365, Inc., was established in 2014. The overall vision of Choose U 365, Inc., is to encourage each and every person that is impacted through this organization, to understand the importance in the value of ones self. Choose U 365, Inc., encourages each person to put themselves first and to better identify the self-fullness in this simple task.
